Welcome to Hautapu Sports Club

Founded in 1903 as a rugby club, the Hautapu Sports Club has become one of the strongest and most respected clubs in the Waikato. 

Today, it’s a diverse club, catering for men, women and children who want to play rugby, netball, touch and hockey. In 2021, local primary schools stopped offering many winter sports, so Hautapu welcomed an influx of new members with open arms, and now has over 1600 active playing members. 

The growth of the club has seen Hautapu become one of the biggest multi-sport clubs in the district, but it's more than just a sports club - it's a place where the Cambridge Community comes together. Everyone is welcome here and we love to see Hautapu playing as essential part in keeping the community connected and thriving.
