Hamilton Burr to play 50th game for Hautapu in Shield semi-final

Hautapu Sports’ forward Hamilton Burr will play his 50th game for the club when he runs out against Hamilton Old Boys in Saturday’s Breweries Shield semi-final at Memorial Park.

The Scottish-born Burr (27) will play his blazer game as Hautapu aim for a spot in this year’s grand final, against either Te Awamutu or Hamilton Marist.

Since arriving in New Zealand more than four years ago, Burr has become a standout player for Hautapu Sports, and earning selection for the Waikato NPC squad and the Chiefs.
