ROUND-UP: Hautapu Premier A and women’s rugby sides win on Club Day
Hautapu Sports supporters enjoyed Club Day at Memorial Park with a chance to see all four of their senior rugby teams in action.
And they weren’t disappointed, with wins from the Premier A and Women’s Premiership sides.
The U-21s lost for the first time this season, going down 27-19 to Hamilton Marist in a repeat of last year’s competition grand final.
The Premier A side ran away with their game against Fraser Tech, winning 62-26 in the main game of the day.
Earlier, the Development side were edged by Fraser Tech 35-33 with Kees van der Heyden and captain Archie Falconer both scoring two tries for the home side.
The Women’s Premiership team won their second match of the season, beating University 22-15, with Melina Salale contributing 12 points with two tries and a conversion.
After the game, the team and club members honoured Nikki Harpur for her achievement in playing more than 100 games of senior club rugby.

Next weekend, all four Hautapu teams take a break over King’s Birthday Weekend but resume with matches on Saturday June 7, 2025.
